Trivia[]
- The original opening ("Fighting") and ending ("Otoko Darou!") were replaced by different opening ("Decisão") and ending ("Oliver") themes by Sarah Regina, Karina Firmo, Rodrigo Firmo, Gabi, Felipe, Marinho and Oswaldo Biancardi.
- In the dub, some characters of this anime adaptation were changed: Tsubasa, and Wakabayashi had a mix of their original name and their names from the European dubs, Sanae Nakazawa was renamed "Neia Sanae" and Taro Misaki was renamed "Carlos Misaki".
- Makoto Soda and was initially named as "Makoto Hayata", possibly due to the other reading of his surname's kanji ("So" can be read also as "Haya").
- During the series, some characters such as Tsubasa, Sawada and Matsuyama had their voices changed from episode 35 onwards.
- In this dub, a particular trait of the announcer was to say "torcida brasileira" ("Brazilian supporters") during his match commentary, which however, was not present on the dubs of Captain Tsubasa Road to 2002 and Captain Tsubasa (2018).
