Super Why! is the British English dub of the show of the same name. It premiered on 2 June 2008 on Nick Jr. in the United Kingdom, with only the first season dubbed.

History

On 2 June 2008, the show premiered on Nick Jr. in the United Kingdom, with a separate dub made to help localise the show to a British audience. This dub lasted for one season only, and for some reason was not released on DVD.

• This dub did not air on Tiny Pop, which had already aired the American English version, and furthermore was not released on DVD.
• In this dub, the characters say simpler phrases for the UK audience to understand what they are saying. This dub also switches out North American terms with British ones. Examples of some minor alterations done to this UK dub of the show, such as the dialogue, names and phrases include:
  • The line in the theme song "and the Super Readers, we're gonna fly!" was changed to "and the Super Readers, we're going to fly!".
  • In the beginning of every episode, Whyatt says "Hi! I'm glad you're here! My name is Whyatt!", instead of "Hi! So glad you're here! It's me, Whyatt!".
  • When one of the characters encounter a problem, Whyatt acknowledges it as a "really big problem", instead of a "super big problem".
  • Whyatt says "Well done, Super Readers!" instead of "Super job, Super Readers!".
  • Red says "Oh, bother!" instead of "Double drat!".
  • Pig says "Lovely letters!" instead of "Lickety letters!".
  • American terms such as "eraser" are changed to local British ones such as "rubber" for example.
  • The episode "Attack of the Eraser" is changed to "Attack of the Rubber".
