Tři oříšky pro Popelku is a Czechoslovak-German film fairy tale from 1973 directed by Václav Vorlíček. The screenplay was written by František Pavlíček based on Božena Němcová's model, but Bohumila Zelenková is mentioned in the credits, who sponsored it, because Pavlíček's activities in culture were banned by the Communists. The music was composed by Karel Svoboda, the main song was sung by Karel Gott and the lyrics were written by Jiří Štaidl. The main roles featured Libuše Šafránková as Popelka and Pavel Trávníček as Princ, who was dubbed by Petr Svojtka. It was filmed in the Klatovsk region, in the forests around Javorná near Čachrov, at the Švihov water castle, in the Barrandov studio and in eastern Germany (at the Babelsberg Studio and at the Moritzburg castle).
