Trivia[]

  • This dub is notorious for the many liberties it took with the original script:
    • Multiple references to movies, celebrities and songs were added in various scenes.
    • Fourth wall-breaking gags were also added. The turtles are often aware of being in a TV show, while Shredder and the other villains often declare they will become the main protagonists of the show and would say things like "I'll win in the next episode!" when defeated. The villain gag was also used in the dub of Skeleton Warriors.
    • Michelangelo is often heard speaking in a Neapolitan accent, while Bebop speaks in a Milanese one and is said a few times he actually comes from Milan in the dub.
    • In a few occasions, dialogues make references to the show's animation and coloring mistakes, trying to give them an in-universe explanation (for example, a scene where a blindfolded Michelangelo becomes a blindfolded Donatello between shots had a line from Donatello altered so that he suggests Michelangelo to wear his belt buckle to become stronger).
