Teen Titans Go! is an American animated superhero comedy television series developed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic for Cartoon Network. It premiered on April 23, 2013, and is based on DC Comics' fictional superhero team the Teen Titans. The series was announced following the popularity of DC Nation's New Teen Titans shorts. The production companies of the series are DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, with the animation outsourced to Canada at Copernicus Studios and Bardel Entertainment and the Philippines at Snipple Animation.
This series explores the comedic antics and misadventures of the Teen Titans (a DC superhero team of five based in Jump City led by Robin) in various situations. Sporting a different animation style from that of the original 2003 Teen Titans series, Teen Titans Go! serves as a comedic standalone reboot of (or alternate-universe counterpart to) said series with little to no continuity to it (although some references are included as comedic fan service), let alone to any other DC media (although other DC works are still frequently referenced nevertheless). Many DC characters make frequent appearances and are commonly referenced throughout. The original principal voice cast for the Teen Titans that participated in the 2003 series returns to reprise their respective roles.
A feature film, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, was released in theaters on July 27, 2018.
