The Adventures of Albert and Sidney is one of several English dubs of ドラえもん. As the earliest known dub of the show, it was recorded at Montreal's Sonolab in 1985. The dub aired at a time where exposure of the Doraemon franchise in the English-language world has been relatively limited. It aired Saturday mornings on CBC TV 8 in Barbados in the late 1980's and early 1990's.

All text in the anime itself (for example, signs on stores) was kept in Japanese. The dub used an original theme song and replacement background music. Doraemon and Nobita were renamed to Albert and Sidney, respectively, with Gian, Suneo and Shizuka being renamed to "Buster", "Ricky" and "Lucy". Despite this, it is clear that the show is still set in Japan.

According to the NATPE 1987 issue of Television/Radio Age magazine, the dub was distributed by Cinar, a children's entertainment company based in Montreal, Quebec under license from the show's distributor, TV Asahi. Cinar was selling the show as 150 ten-minute episodes.

The dub was planned to air in the United States on SuperStation WTBS, as the channel had acquired the rights to 50 episodes of Doraemon in 1985, but ultimately never aired the show. As its release was limited, the only footage to surface has been a short reel released by the dub's composer Jérôme Langlois in September 2020.

Notes

• The Cinar version was the only English dub in the Doraemon franchise in which Nobita is voiced by a male child actor until Stand by Me Doraemon 2, in where the younger version of Nobita was voiced by a child actor.
• The CBC channel has long since removed Albert and Sidney from its archive.
• The show has likely aired in Canada as well according to Langlois, when in the '90s, he saw several fire hydrants that were painted into the characters of Doraemon and Nobita while he was in New Carlisle, a town in Quebec, Canada. It's currently unconfirmed if the show ever had a Canadian airing, but stock photos of the Doraemon hydrant prove it still exists today.
