The Adventures of Robin Hood is a 1938 American Technicolor epic swashbuckler film, released by Warner Bros. Pictures. Hal B. Wallis and Henry Blanke produced the film, which was directed by Michael Curtiz and William Keighley and starred Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, Basil Rathbone, Claude Rains, Patric Knowles, Eugene Pallette, and Alan Hale. The film is well known for Erich Wolfgang Korngold's Academy Award-winning soundtrack.

Norman Reilly Raine and Seton I. Miller co-wrote the picture. The plot revolves around the legendary Saxon warrior Robin Hood, who, while King Richard the Lionheart is away in the Holy Land during the Crusades, fights back as the outlaw commander of a rebel guerrilla band against Prince John and the Norman lords who oppress the Saxon commoners.

Since its debut, The Adventures of Robin Hood has received critical acclaim. The United States Library of Congress designated the picture as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" in 1995 and selected it for preservation by the National Film Registry.

Alan Hale, who plays Little John, previously played the part in Douglas Fairbanks' 1922 version of the film and returned to play him in 1950's Rogues of Sherwood Forest.
