The Amazing World of Gumball (abbreviated to TAWOG (for short name), or referred to as simply Gumball) is an animated sitcom created by Ben Bocquelet for Cartoon Network.
The series concerns the lives of 12-year-old Gumball Watterson, a blue cat, and his goldfish best friend and adoptive brother 10-year-old Darwin, who attend middle school in the fictional city of Elmore, California. They often find themselves in various shenanigans around the city, during which they interact with fellow family members—younger sister Anais, mother Nicole, and father Richard—and an extended supporting cast of characters.
On September 6, 2016, Bocquelet announced the series would end after season 6; he reaffirmed his position on Twitter in October 2018. However, Turner Northern Europe was unable to confirm the sixth season to be the show's last, which could make way for future episodes. Following the programme's finale, two miniseries were released: the six-episode Darwin's Yearbook in November 2019 and The Gumball Chronicles in October 2020. On February 17, 2021, Cartoon Network revealed that a TV movie based on the series was in development. On September 21, 2021, it was announced that a new spin-off series, to be a follow-up for both the show and the movie, had been greenlit for Cartoon Network and Max alongside the movie.

Censorship[]
- Despite "The Slap" continuing to re-air on the unified CEE feed of Cartoon Network, it is not available to stream on Max in CEE countries. Several clips of the episode in certain languages have appeared on the official YouTube channels for The Amazing World of Gumball clips. Additionally, the episode remains available on Max in Western European countries.
- "The Lady" was available on streaming on Max in CEE countries on May 21st, 2024 (and on June 11, 2024 in Poland). Despite initially being banned from Cartoon Network in those regions and not receiving any airtime or reruns, many episodes in those regions' respective dubs appeared on the streamer for the first time.
Notes[]
- Despite the fact that the series never had a Catalan dub, a clip of the episode "The Decisions" was dubbed into Catalan on the Catalan dub of "Draw with Will".[15]
