The Cat Returns is the English dub of 猫の恩返し. It premiered at the Los Angeles Anime Film Festival on May 2, 2003 in the United States through Buena Vista Distribution. It was later released to DVD in the US on September 28, 2005.

- This was the final animated film role of actor Peter Boyle before his death on December 12, 2006.
- Natoru is female in the Japanese version. However, Natoru's gender is changed to male in this dub, given Andy Richter voiced the character.
