The Golden Girls is a sitcom, created by Susan Harris. It ran from September 14, 1985, to May 9, 1992. After The Golden Girls ended, the show then got a spinoff series, called The Golden Palace. Which only ran for one season, and what many fans consider to be the eighth season of the original series.
The series follows Dorothy Zbornak, played by late actress Beatrice Arthur, Rose Nylund, played by late actress Betty White, Blanche Devereaux, played by late actress Rue McClanahan and Sophia Petrillo, played by late actress Estelle Getty. All four girls are in their golden years (hence the name of the show) and all live together in Blanche's house.
