The Inbetweeners is a British coming-of-age television teen sitcom, created and written by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris. The series follows the misadventures of suburban teenager William McKenzie and his friends Simon Cooper, Jay Cartwright and Neil Sutherland at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive.

The show involves situations of school life, uncaring school staff, friendship, male bonding, lad culture and adolescent sexuality. The show lasted for three seasons consisting of six episodes each on E4 from May 1, 2008 to October 18, 2010.

After the show had ended, The Inbetweeners Movie was released in 2011 and was intended to be the finale to the series. Although a sequel to the first film, The Inbetweeners 2, which was released in 2014, was the final entry in the franchise.

An American remake was also broadcast on MTV, but was quickly cancelled after low ratings and poor critical reception.
