The Jim Henson Hour is an American showcase series made by Jim Henson Productions, which originally aired on NBC from April 14 to July 30, 1989. It is the last series the titular Jim Henson worked on, as he would die of toxic shock syndrome months after its cancellation. Thus, it was the last primetime series featuring the Muppet characters until 1996's Muppets Tonight. Three of the episodes never aired during its original run on NBC, but two of them later aired on Nickelodeon in 1992-1993, with one of them remaining unaired in the US.
