The Loud House is an American animated TV series created by Chris Savino for Nickelodeon. The show is about the life of a boy named Lincoln Loud, as he tries to survive the everyday troubles of living in a large family of ten sisters. As the series progressed, Lincoln became less prominent as newer episodes focused more on his family members and friends, with him being completely absent in some episodes.
On July 20, 2016, the show made history as the first Nickelodeon animated series to feature a married same-sex couple, Howard and Harold McBride, the fathers of Lincoln's best friend Clyde. The following year, Luna Loud, one of Lincoln's sisters, fell in love with another girl, Sam Sharp, in the episode "L is for Love", with them confirming their relationship in Season 5.
A feature film based on the series was released on Netflix on August 20, 2021, while a live-action movie based on the series was released on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ on November 26, 2022 and recently a live-action tv series was announced on March 24, 2022 to debut on Paramount+ on November 3, 2022.[7][8]

Censorship[]
The show's inclusion of LGBT characters (e.g. Clyde's fathers Howard and Harold, Luna and her girlfriend Sam) has resulted in it being subject to censorship from Nickelodeon and Nicktoons itself, intended primarily for countries such as Russia, Turkey/Türkiye, Indonesia and Malaysia. This has primarily consisted of omitting certain episodes from the exact Nickelodeon and Nicktoons feeds available in several of these countries.
This also caused the entire series to be banned in Kenya in 2017 by the Kenya Film Classification Board,[17] a move which causes it to be fully omitted from the exact Nickelodeon and Nicktoons feeds available in Kenya via DStv (which are Nickelodeon Global "Limited" and Nicktoons Africa "South" respectively, both of which are also shared with multiple other markets, especially the former feed).
Additionally, the Sinhala dub gave Howard a female voice actor and addressed him as Clyde's mother, while Clyde addresses Howard as his uncle and Harold as his only father in the Korean dub. Luna's girlfriend Sam was also given a male voice actor and addressed as Luna's boyfriend in the Korean dub, but only in her debut appearance for the latter dub.
