The New Adventures of Beany and Cecil is an American animated series that originally aired on ABC from September 10 to October 8, 1988. The series was a revival of the original Beany and Cecil, and was produced and directed by John Kricfalusi, who had earlier worked on Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures for CBS with Ralph Bakshi.

The production on the series was very troubled, as it started on the middle of July, causing much of the animation to be rushed. This was because of long negotiations between ABC (the network that aired the series' earlier counterpart) and the Clampett family, who insisted that John Kricfalusi would be part of the production. During production, tensions had also risen between Kricfalusi and ABC over the series' tone, as ABC strove to soften the show when Kricfalusi pushed for shocking and offensive material. While the Clampetts were ultimately not very happy with the cartoon, they remained supportive of Kricfalusi.
