The Owl House is an animated television series that aired on Disney Channel in the United States on 2020-01-10.
Self-assured teenager Luz stumbles upon a portal to a magical realm where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and a tiny warrior, King; despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda's apprentice.

Censorship[]
As the show prominently features LGBT characters and themes (e.g. Luz and Amity becoming a couple and the former coming out as bisexual to her mother in Season 3, Willow's two fathers, Eda showing feelings for the non-binary Raine Whispers), several episodes featuring such content were censored and/or banned from airing in places where homosexuality is widely seen as taboo (such as the Arab World, Türkiye, Indonesia and Malaysia). It also caused the entire show to be banned in Russia after the first season, while it was was pulled from the schedule in Hungary (and Czechia due to a shared Disney Channel feed) before its premiere.
