Censorship[]
In the episode "Understanding Willow", the picture of Willow's two fathers is blurred, as homosexuality is illegal in Malaysia.
However, the broadcast of "Enchanted Grom Fright" didn't censor the scene of Luz and Amity dancing or the latter's letter to the former saying she likes her, despite censoring a scene of a gay couple dancing.
Eventually, all Malay-dubbed episodes (including ones that likely did not air on Disney Channel in Malaysia) were made available on Disney+ Hotstar with no censorship, as Malaysia's censorship laws do not cover streaming services.[2]
