The Thief and the Cobbler (also known during it's United States theatrical release as Arabian Knight) is a 1993 animated fantasy film originally created by Richard Williams, who intended it to be his magnum opus and a milestone in the animated medium. The film is about a cobbler and a princess trying to reclaim three magical orbs that protect the Golden City, which were stolen by a bumbling thief.
The final cut of the film was edited together and completed by Miramax and Fred Calvert from the Completion Bond Company, after Richard Williams failed to meet the 1992 deadline to finish the film from Warner Bros.
