Tobias Kluckert (born September 19, 1972) is a German actor, voice actor and narrator. Kluckert also works as a voiceover for documentaries and commercials. Kluckert is best known as the German main voice of 50 Cent, Karl Urban, Bradley Cooper, Kevin McKidd, Seth Rogen, Tyrese Gibson, Nathan Fillion, Gerard Butler, Jason Clarke and Joaquin Phoenix.
He was the old brother of voice actors Sebastian and Fabian Kluckert.
Private life[]
Tobias Kluckert is the son of the actor Jürgen Kluckert. He initially grew up in Berlin, but lived in Rostock from 1982 to 1989. There he played as a child and youth actor in the theater for six years. After graduating from high school in 1991, Kluckert studied political science for four semesters at the Free University of Berlin before beginning training as a businessman in 1993 and completing it in 1995. From 1994 to 2001, Kluckert was also employed as a bartender in the Blaumilchkanal pub in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district and worked in film and television as a lighting technician and sound assistant.
From 1997 he took acting lessons at the same time and trained in speech training and singing. From 1998 to 2006 he dubbed Brian Krause as Leo Wyatt in the eight-season fantasy series Charmed. At the same time, he applied to the Berlin-based dubbing studios and worked as an ensemble speaker for four years, where, among other things, he lent his voice to the character of Raditz in the anime series Dragonball Z, before taking on other leading roles in 2001.
Tobias Kluckert lives in Berlin. He is the father of a daughter.

Movies[]
One of his most important roles to date is the dubbing of Joaquín Phoenix in the film adaptation of the Johnny Cash biography Walk the Line (2006). Kluckert is now regularly used to dub Seth Rogen, Tyrese Gibson, Bradley Cooper and 50 Cent and increasingly for Kevin McKidd, Jason Bateman and Gerard Butler. In the last few years until his death in 2008 he also dubbed Guillaume Depardieu. For Tyrese Gibson he played the role of Roman Pearce in the films 2 Fast 2 Furious, Fast & Furious Five and Fast & Furious 6.
In 2006 he lent his voice to Eli Roth in the film Aftershock (director: Eli Roth). In the comic film adaptation 300 in 2007 he played the role of Narrator/Dilios for David Wenham. In 2012 he lent his voice to Tom Hardy as Bane in the comic book adaptation The Dark Knight Rises and Karl Urban in DREDD (3D).
He has been the standard voice of Jason Clarke since 2012. He spoke to Clarke et al. in the leading roles in the films White House Down, Planet of the Apes: Revolution, Everest and Going to the Moon. In the new edition of Stephen King's Graveyard of Cuddly Toys (2019), he voiced the lead role Louis Creed for Clarke.
In the film Joker (2019) he provided the German voice for the main character Arthur Fleck, played by Joaquin Phoenix. In the film Oppenheimer (2023) he dubbed the role of Roger Robb.

Television viewers are familiar with Kluckert's voice from several series characters, including He-Man in Masters of the Universe (2003), Eric Balfour as Eddie in The O.C., California (2004), Kevin McKidd as Dr. Owen Hunt in Grey's Anatomy (since 2009), Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton in True Blood (2009-2015), Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle in Castle (2009-2016) and John Nolan in The Rookie (since 2019), also for Adam Baldwin in the television series Firefly (2002/2003, as Jayne Cobb) and Chuck (2007–2012, as John Casey).
Tobias Kluckert also voices Andy Whitfield and Liam McIntyre in Spartacus (2010-2013) and the character Shane Walsh, played by Jon Bernthal, in the series The Walking Dead (2010-2012). From 2008 to 2012 he dubbed the character of Harry “Opie” Winston in the series Sons of Anarchy. From 2008 to 2013 he lent his voice to Charles Baker (“Skinny Pete”) in the series Breaking Bad. He played the eponymous lead role in the Netflix animated series BoJack Horseman from 2014 to 2020. In the science fiction series Future Man, filmed between 2017 and 2019 and published in German on Prime Video from 2018, he lent his voice to Derek Wilson in the role of Wolf.
He is also the dubbing voice of actor Mark Benton in the crime series Shakespeare and Hathaway, which is broadcast on ZDF Neo.
In 2019 and 2020 he again provided his voice for Karl Urban, who plays the main role William “Billy” Butcher, in the two seasons of The Boys. In the series Reacher, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and released in 2022, he gave his voice to main actor Alan Ritchson for the first time. In the series Vikings, Kluckert voiced the character Eirik. In the television series S.W.A.T. Kluckert could be heard as Terry Luca.
Video games[]
Tobias also uses his voice to provide sound for computer and video games, including as Martin Septim in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, as Captain Rumford in Diablo 3, as Tron in Kingdom Hearts 2, and as Kane in The Legend of Spyro : The New Beginning, as Alex Mason in Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and as Edward Kenway in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (2013).
He has also regularly lent his voice to the adult Master Chief from the video game series Halo since 2012. He has done this so far in the video games Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians and Halo Infinite, the animated short film The Package included in the short film collection Halo Legends and the live-action film Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, released at the end of 2012.
