Tobias Meister (born June 9, 1957) is a German actor, voice actor, voice director and he adapts scripts for dubbing.

Biography[]

The son of actress Ingeborg Stutz and actor Harald Meister, he initially grew up in Cologne, where he appeared as a child actor in theater productions from 1962. The family moved to West Berlin in 1968.

In 1972 he appeared on television for the first time, followed by engagements in a series of feature films and television productions.

With a few exceptions, he has been the standard German voice of Kiefer Sutherland since Stand by Me (1986), of Forest Whitaker since The Color of Money (1986), of Tim Robbins since Top Gun (1986), of Gary Sinise since Of Mice and Men (1992), of Brad Pitt since Se7en (1995), of Ice Cube since Higher Learning (1995), of Jack Black since Mars Attacks! (1996) and of Sean Penn since The Game (1997).

He even won an award in 2008 for his dubbing work in the film The Last King of Scotland.
