Tom, Crosby und die Mäusebrigade is the German dub of ジャックと豆の木.

Release history[]

The original German theatrical version, released by Avis-Filmverleih, includes an animated intro, starring a stick figure; there are also psychedelic backgrounds and text panels with the crew and the German dub cast members included. Seven and a half minutes of scenes from the original Japanese release, including Jack's monologue on his bed at night, Prince Tulip listening to a windup music box minature of Madame Noir to cheer himself up, Noir pretending to make up the Princess, Crosby singing a serenade to the moon, and the song after Jack's victory, are omitted. Unlike the Japanese version, all animals talk in this one.[1] It was released on DVD by EuroVideo Medien on November 28, 1997.

A longer version of the German dub, with video sourced from the English release and the aforementioned deleted scenes included in Japanese, was released on DVD on November 11, 2010 by EuroVideo and MIG Film Group. It was also released under the same format by Alive AG, on October 02, 2015.
