Tuhaf Dünya is the Turkish dub of Strange World. It was originally planned to be released in theaters in Türkiye on November 25, 2022, but its theatrical release was eventually pulled by Disney over censorship concerns arising from the film's portrayal of a gay romance between Ethan Clade and his boyfriend Diazo.[1] Homosexuality is widely frowned upon in Türkiye, where same-sex relationships are not recognized and LGBT content regularly experiences censorship.
Instead, the film (and its Turkish dub) was released on Disney+ on December 23, 2022 outside of Türkiye.
