Ultimate Muscle (also known as Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy) is the English dub of キン肉マンII世. It has previously aired on Fox in United States, Cartoon Network in Australia and New Zealand, YTV in Canada, Kix and Toonami in United Kingdom and Ireland.

Censorship and changes[20][]

- Like other 4Kids dubs, Many of the characters' names were changed.
- Many of Chojins' moves names were changed.
- The "Justice Chojin" faction was changed to the "Muscle League".
- The Intergalactic Wrestling Federation (IWF) doesn't exist in the original version, which it is a parody of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
- Rather than just being Jade's trainer, Brocken Jr. was changed to being his father as well.
- The faeces of Mantaro were changed to a sentient "stink bug", due to faecal matter being considered an inappropriate subject matter for children and broadcast.[21]
- The ethnicity of a few characters was changed. Check Mate and Geronimo became British, Buffaloman became Russian, The Ninja became American, etc.
- The dMp which stands for Demon Making Plant was changed to Destruction, Mayhem and Pain. And its logo was barely changed.
- In the dub, if a member if the Kinniku Clan exposed their face, they are stripped of their rank, status, forbidden to wrestle or fight again and are reduced, by every standard, to un-persons without any right, instead of facing the death penalty, presumably for censorship reasons.[22]
Edits and dialogues changes[]
General[]
- For the opening and ending of the dub used an own theme song.
- Like other 4Kids dubs, some stock cartoon sound effects were added.
- Some episodes prologues were cut out.
- Some footages order from some episodes were altered or barely removed.
- The episodes titles were removed.
- The eyecatchers were changed.
- The characters' introduction text was removed.
- Most of the English and Japanese texts were removed in this dub.
- Like other 4Kids dubs, all the soundtrack from the Japanese version were replaced with alternative soundtrack.
- The segment of the main characters singing the "Cow and Rice" song with different lyrics written by the audience for each episode (from 17 to 51) was cut off.
- During the "Cow and Rice" song (Kid Muscle's song), all the "丼" (Don) kanji characters in the background were removed.
- The forehead markings of some characters were removed.

Hercules Factory Arc[]
A Legend Reborn (Episode 1)[]
- The "P 24h" (24-hour parking) sign on the billboard was removed.
- The Japanese emblem on the stone was removed.
- The scene where Mantaro peen himself was censored by a white flash of the Meat's cryogenic pod.
- A flashback boiler was added during the Mantaro's flashback with his grandfather.
- The part where Mantaro showing his name text to explain the pun at Meat was cut out.
- The part where Mantaro grabbing the Blood Killer's legs was cut out.
Generation-Next (Episode 2)[]
- When Mantaro is on the spacecraft with Meat, he makes a mention to the American group "Village People", which is not mentioned on the original version.
- The part where Mantaro holding cards with Japanese Text was edited.
- The color of the burning kicking bags was changed from red to blue.
- The part where Mantaro kicks the bag and sets himself on fire was removed.
- The part where Terry the Kid kicks the bag repeatedly was cut out. In this dub just show him kicking it the final time before the bag breaks off and is launched at Mantaro.
- The part where Mantaro peen himself was edited.
- The part where Terry leaving all together was removed.
- The "Peanut" text of Terry's peanut bag was removed.
- During Terry the Kid's flashback, "Terry's Ranch" text was removed from farm header.
- Also, during Terry's flashback, the impact line of Terryman hitting them was removed and instead of this, Terryman yells at him.
- Natsuko Shono's (Terry's mom) astonishment voice was added.
- The "バカ" (baka) text was removed on the flags.
- The part where Anaconda wonders if this cheerleader likes Mantaro or not was cut out.
- The text on the Terryman's handkerchief was removed.
- The Terryman's forehead emblem was removed from the photo with Kinnikuman.
Making The Cut (Part 1 of 2) (Episode 3)[]
- The part where Mantaro pees himself while hanging on the rope is changed into a scene where he farts.
- The part where Robin Mask sending Mantaro back to the burning was removed
- One of Chojins has his design changed, he originally resembled of the Confederete States, he is instead painted entirely red.
- The "プ ー" (puu) text was removed.
- The part where Buffaloman punchs Terry's face was shortned.
- The part where Buffaloman punchs Terry's face repeatedly gets mirrored for unknown reasons. In the dub, in rare instance the unedited footage was recycled for other scene.
- The part where Terry parks a truck was removed for unknown reasons.
- The part where Buffaloman charges that Terry is blurred.
Like Father Like Son (Part 2 of 2) (Episode 4)[]
- The "GP" text on the Champion belt was removed.
- The part where Kinnikuman shows his butt was removed
- The part where Mantaro headbutts his father, the dub adds a shatter effect him to most of the impact and make it look less graphic.
- The map of Japan on the screen was replaced with a 3D rotating globe to make connotation more global.
- Due to this, the part where the Chojins will be going to Japan as in specifically was removed.
- The part where showing specific location where Mantaro will be held was removed.
D.M.p Arc[]
Dial Up Danger (Part 1 of 3) (Episode 5)[]
- The part where Kevin Mask jumps to stop Gazelleman was shortned. In the dub, Kevin just appears out of nowhere.
- In the dub, Meat knew Kevin Mask instead of Mantaro in the original version.
- The "Japanese wrestling" (on Japanese) text was replaced with the "Intergalactic Wrestling Federation" logo.
- The "Boijer" text and the letter b were removed.
- The Japanese texts on Tel-Tel Boy's buttons were removed.
- The part where Tel-Tel Boy is making a call was shortned.
- The part where Tel-Tel Boy shows the upcoming match was removed.
Mask of Terror (Part 2 of 3) (Episode 6)[]
- The texts of the names of the announcers were replaced by numbers and the billboard with Japanese text was removed.
- The part where shows the time clock was removed.
- During the Mantaro's flashback, The part where baby Mantaro cross the burning rings was removed.
- Also, during the flashback, The "Komutan" text was removed and get replaced by a dog image.
- The part where the characters do a "Shiritori" (しりとり) battle was cut out of the dub because this word game is not popular outside of Japan and it was considered unnecessary.
Call Waiting (Part 3 of 3) (Episode 7)[]
- During the match of Mantaro V/S Tel-Tel Boy, all the Japanese texts, numbers and emoticons on Tel-Tel Boy's screen were replaced with other stuff.
- The text on Tel-Tel Boy's memory card was changed.
- During the celebration, the Japanese text was replaced by a image of a bowl of Karubidon.
Trouble Afoot (Part 1 of 2) (Episode 8)[]
- The part where shows Seiuchin, the background was changed. In the dub, it was replaced by a scene of the episode.
- The "MAX" text on MAXman tongue was removed.
- The part where shows the Tokyo Tower in lights off was removed.
- Seiuchin's knockout was shortned.
- The part where MAXman hangs Mantaro was removed.
Fury of The Scorned Shoe (Part 2 of 2) (Episode 9)[]
- When Mantaro puts his feaces on the ring was shortned and his butt was censored with the pants on.
- The part where Mantaro shows his butt while put his pants on was removed.
- During Terry's flashback, a flashback boiler was added.
- Also during the flashback, Natsuko Shono's astonishment voice was added.
- The "KO Superman Hospital" text was replaced by two red crosses.
- The letter "K" was removed and the "SQMY" text was also removed, probably due to copyright reasons.
Unmellow Yellow (Episode 10)[]

- The part where shows the word "Nightmare" was cut out.
- When Terry runs from Tokyo to Osaka for his upcoming match, the "大阪" (Osaka) and "東京" (Tokyo) text were removed of the map of Japan.
- Some seconds of Sunshine eating Japanese food with Mantaro and Meat was cut out.
- For unknown reasons, the part where shows some parts of the Osaka City was cut out.
- During Sunshine's flashback, "BH" text on Black Hole's body were removed.
- Also during the flashback, Ashuraman's dialogues were added.
- The "¥31.500" text was replaced by "$255.00" text.
- The part where shows the "Kan Sai Dome" was edited out, its text was replaced with the "IWF" logo.
The Hand That Bites You (Part 1 of 2) (Episode 11)[]
- At the beginning of the episode, the part where encloses the ring on a jail was cut out.
- During his match against Rex King, the part where Terry is blooding on his mouth was edit out.
- At the final of the episode, the static image of Rex King was removed.
Cold War (Part 2 of 2) (Episode 12)[]
- During Terry's flashback, the "Terryman's Ranch" text was replaced by a draw of a saddle.
Checkmate! (Part 1 of 4) (Episode 13)[]
- The pieces of a board game called "Shogi" (Japanese chess) were removed.
- During the presentation of Mantaro on his match with Check Mate the pieces weren't removed.
- In the dub, they called Mahjong instead of Shogi.
- During a program conducted by two girls called Kaori and Norika, the "Osaka" text their t-shirts and the Japanese text behind them were removed
- The part where shows Check Mate's merchandise was shortned due to a US law where kids programs can't show real life products and also in that stand had lighters.
- On Mantaro's merchandise stand, the Japanese texts were replaced by a sketchart of Mantaro, but their action figures weren't removed despite the US law.
- The part where Mantaro hangs Check Mate was shortned.
Feeling No Pain (Part 2 of 4) (Episode 14)[]
- The part where Mantaro puts a cork stopper on his butt was removed.
- The part where Check Mate attcaks to Mantaro, a flash light was added.
The Student Rebellion (Part 3 of 4) (Episode 15)[]
- The part where Check Mate tramples to Mantaro was shortned.
- When Check Mate punchs a kid , the part where that kid flies was removed. In the dub, just shows the kid in hands of Sunshine.
The Final Move (Part 4 of 4) (Episode 16)[]
- The part where Mantaro gets up back for continue his match against Check Mate was shortned. In the dub, just shows Mantaro scared of Check Mate.
- At the final of the episode, The part where Sunshine carries to Check Mate was shortned.
- During that scene, some Mantaro's dialogues were added.
Roxanne Rocks! (Episode 17)[]
- Most of the English and Japanese texts of this episode were edit out or removed, for example:
- The Japanese text on the spicy bag was replaced with a draw of a thermometer.
- When Mantaro and his friends walk in the city, the "coin shop" text was removed and the "coffee" text was replaced with a draw of a cup of coffee.
- The "Suminoe Preschool Daycare" Japanese text was replaced with a draw of a stork. In the dub, its called orphanage.
- When Mantaro escapes of the house at the Minami Park, the part where shows a note with Japanese text was removed.
- Some scenes where appear two Harabote's allies (including Thomas) were removed.
- The part where shows a utility pole with street billboards was removed.
- The part shows a wooden billboard of Mari's house was removed.
- When The Rigani kidnaps to Rinko Nikaido, the part where Rinko is tied up was edit out with her body covered by crawfish skin due to religious references. This kind of edits also can be seen on other 4Kids dubs like One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh! and others.
Cutting the Slack (Episode 18)[]
- The part where Meat reads Mantaro's note was shortned.
- During Mantaro's date with two girls, a original song was added for the dub.
- The part where shows many billboards with texts was removed.
- When Mantaro ask for girl's phone number, his lip movement was frozen for unknown reasons.
- When they present the "Generation EX" members, the part where shows a billboard was removed.
- The part where recycles a scene of the episode 4 was removed due that scene was already cut off of that episode.
- When Mantaro escapes of the house, his butt was censored.
- The "止まれ" (Stop) text on Dead Signal's face was removed.
HF First Year Replacement Matches Arc[]
The Muscle League vs. The Muscle League (Part 1 of 2) (Episode 19)[]
- The part where shows a stand with plushes of the characters was cut off of the dub due to a US law where kids programs can't show real life products.
- Many of the banners texts were replaced by hearts.
- The "Team AHO" logo of the black t-shirt was removed.
- Some seconds where shows some people in the Mansuru River was removed.
- The part where shows the rocky left-foot on differents angles was cutt off.
- The part Mantaro sings the "Cow and Rice" song and breaks the 4th wall was removed.
- The part where shows Gazelleman's fans was shortned due the presence of its merchandise.
- The part where Gazelleman punchs Jade was shortned.
- The fire on the Jade's hand for do the "Red Rain of Berlin" move was removed with the frozen frame, but when he runs to attack Gazelleman his hand is on fire.
Water Damage (Part 2 of 2) (Episode 20)[]
- The part where Dorothy and Suzy are holding a fish was removed. In the dub, it was replaced with a black transition.
- The mention of Seiuchin's deceased father was omitted of the dub.
- The "Why? with Kinnikuman Nisei" part was shortned due to the removal of its logo.
A Bad Sign (Part 1 of 2) (Episode 21)[]
- Some dog's sound effects were added or changed.
- When Mantaro is going to caress a dog, Meat's surpresive face was removed. In the dub, just show indignant Meat.
- After of this, when Mantaro brings the dog, some discussion dialogues were added.
Road Rage (Part 2 of 2) (Episode 22)[]
- The part where Yoshigai hangs to Mr. Nakano was removed.
- The "slow down" Japanese text was replaced by a kids zone signal.
- Due to this, some Mantaro dialogues were changed. Originally he just says "hello, what will you do?" and while in the dub, he says "Hey Road , I'm a kid and I am playing with your mind".
- And also the Mr. Nakano's explanation was removed.
- When Mantaro paints the ring, more Japanese text were replaced by different draws.
- The "キツワ" text was replaced by a paint of a foot.
- The "エルボ" text was replaced by a paint of a fist.
- The last one was replaced by a paint of a Karubidon bowl.
- The nasty text, was replaced by a draw of Mantaro attacked by Dead Signal.
From Bad to Worse (Episode 23)[]
- After Scarface's victory, in the original version, Terry the Kid is unconscious due to the Ultimate Scar Buster imapct and while in the dub, Terry is screaming in pain for the same reason.
Ultimate Courage (Epsiode 24)[]
- At the beginning of the episode, the part where some people are buying action figures was removed due to that US law. In the dub, the episode begins with the people searching merchandise.
- The part where Mr. Nakano playing with a Mantaro's action figure was removed.
- Two scenes of Brocken Jr. drinking wine were removed.
- The wine bottle on Brocken Jr.'s hand was removed.
- The part where Brocken Jr. brokes a bottle was removed.
- when Brocken Jr. meets Jade for first time, all wine bottles were removed
- Two scenes of young Jade punching hot water of the cauldron were removed.
- The part where trample Jade's adoptive parents was removed.
- The part where shows a paper with a text in the door of Mantaro's dressing room was removed.
- When Seiuchin is on the hospital with his mother and his sister, the Japanese text was replaced by doodles.
- The part where reanimates to Terry the Kid with a defibrillator was shortned due to sensibility content. This kind of edits also can be seen in a episode of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!.
Ink or Swim (Part 1 of 2) (Episode 25)[]
- The two scenes of Meat covering the chracters with a curtain were edited out. The Japanese texts was replaced by the logo of the IWF.
- The part where Mantaro take his pants off was edited out.

The Kid vs. the Squid (Part 2 of 2) (Epsiode 26)[]
- When Mantaro releases his attack to Clioneman, all the Kanjis characters were replaced by letters.
A Generation Xed (Part 2 of 2) (Epsiode 28)[]
- Some of reused footages of the episode 24 were removed, censored or replaced by other footages of the episode due to those scenes were already removed or edited out of that episode.
- The part where Mantaro is trying to crush Scarface with a hammer, in the original version, Mantaro is peen himself and in the dub, he just scared and the pee was removed.
- The part where Mantaro peen himself on the table was removed.
Eskara vs. Kid Muscle (Part 1 of 4) (Epsiode 29)[]
- The begenning of the episode starts before of the opening, unlike the original version which begins after the episode title presentation.
- When Mantaro and his friends are buying pack of Karubidon, the poster inside of the restaurant was removed.
- Two scenes of Seiuchin and Gazelleman trying to fight with Scarface (Mars) were combined in a collage for the dub. In the original version, those scenes are separated.
- The part where Mantaro attacks to Scarface (Mars) was shortned.
- The part where Mantaro puts Scarface (Mars) on his pants was removed due to inappropriate content for showing to youngest audience.
Kinniku-busted (Part 2 of 4) (Epsiode 30)[]
- The part where Scarface (Mars) do the Ultimate Scar Buster move was edit out, the number 6 was removed and for some seconds the scene was zoomed out.
A Desperate Situation (Part 3 of 4) (Epsiode 31)[]
- The "PWb" text was replaced by the "EAR" text.
- The part where Mantaro is wearing a devil mask was removed.
- The part where Rinko cheers to Mantaro was removed for unknown reasons. In the dub, the second half of the episode begins with the crowd cheers to Mantaro.
- The part where Mantaro heabutts to Mars, a flash light was added.
- The part where Mantaro pees to Meat was removed.

The Champion of Planet Earth (Part 4 of 4) (Epsiode 32)[]
- The part where the Mantaro's forehead emblem dissapears was removed for unknown reasons and it was replaced by a black transition.

- The Dorothy and Suzie's version of the "Cow and Rice" song was replaced by an original song for the episode.

- The part where Kinnikuman peen himself was edited out.
- Child's mom corpse was removed.
- The part where Hanzo attacks to The Ninja was edited out with a flash light.
- The part where Hanzo punchs repeatdly to The Ninja was shotrned.
The Ninja Alliance (Part 2 of 3) (Epsiode 36)[]
- When Meat see The Ninja's scarf, the Japanese text on there was replaced by a symbol with the acronym of "Ninja Ned".
- The part where Keiko who her body was shortned due to explicit content.
- The Japanese text was replaced by the no symbol with a draw of a foot.
Tatami or Not, Here I Come (Part 3 of 3) (Episode 37)[]
- The part where Hanzo attacks Mantaro was shortned.
Bone Cold Day in Paradise (Part 1 of 3) (Episode 38)[]
- In the original version, Terry the Kid tells to his friends that they are in Okinawa and while in the dub, he tells to them that they are in Tahiti.
- All the elements related to Okinawa were replaced by a collage with four footages of this episode and for some reason, the sound effects weren't removed.
- In the dub, Terry the Kid refers those two young women on the beach as his younger sisters, of which he has none in the original version.[23]
- In the dub, they refers the white Kimono as a "hospital gown".
For Meat's Sake (Part 2 of 3) (Episode 39)[]
- The part where Mantaro hangs to Bone Cold was removed.
- During Meat's flashback, the footage of the kids visiting a cementary was replaced by a image of the "Suminoe Preschool Daycare", which is a reused footage from the episode 17.
- Mince's death was never confirmed. They simply said he injured his hips.
The Ultimate Victory (Part 3 of 3) (Episode 40)[]
- In the dub, Check Mate calls the Shogi piece as a stone.
- The part where young Bone Cold see to his father sleeping was removed.
Choujin Olympics Arc: Part One[]
The Chojin Crown (Epsiode 41)[]
- At the begenning of the episode, the logo of "IWF" was added.
- The part where shows one of matches was removed and it was repalced by a black transition.
- The arcade store's billboard lost its text and the draw of a girl dressing a bunny ears also was removed due to it looks like a Playboy Bunny.
- The arcades screens were modificed, in the original version, shows a gameplay of the video game Ultimate Muscle: Legends vs New Generation and while in the dub the footage was edited out and some blue faces were added which is a parody of Pac-Man (1980). Those changes were made it due to that US law where kids programs can't show real life products.
- The glasses of wine were removed.
- The newspapers' covers were edited out and the most notorius change, is when shows Kevin Mask's match.
- The newspapers' transitions were changed.
- The beer was replaced by soda.
- The part where shows some information about of The Ruralman's matches was shortned.
The Prince and the Pauper (Episode 42)[]
- The part where The Ruralman kicks Mantaro was edited out with a flash light.
- The part where Ikemen grabs a glass of wine was removed.
- The part where reanimates to The Ruralman was cut out.
- The rising sun on Japan's flag was removed.
Rock, Paper, Chojin (Epsiode 43)[]
- All texts with countries' names were replaced by images of their respective flags.
- The flag of Japan was modificed, the Rising Sun was replaced by an image of the Kinniku Planet.
- The part where Mantaro puts his hand on the pants was cut out.
- In the dub, Bananaman makes a mention to the song "Don't Worry, Be Happy", which doesn't happen in the original version.
Three Feet Heat (Episode 44)[]
- The part where Terry the Kid and Jade kick to Baronos was edited out with a flash light.
- The part where Yoneo Sasaki is trying hug to Mantaro was removed.
Poison Six Pack Arc[]
The Poison Six-Pack (Part 1 of 2) (Episode 45)[]
- The Japanese text was replaced by a draw of Ikemen.
