- This is the first installment in the German-dubbed Barbapapa franchise to give the characters individual voices, as opposed to having them all be voiced by a narrator like both seasons of the parent series.
- Normally, this change is expected to happen during season 2 of the parent series, however in German that season is still a narrator only dub for unknown reasons.
- The narrator of the parent series, Peter Kirchberger, does not reprise his role here. He is replaced by a female narrator.
- Interestingly, Kirchberger had reprised as the narrator in season 2 of the parent series which was dubbed late in 2011, well after Around the World was released. With that in mind, it is unknown why he did not reprise for this dub.
