VR Troopers is a syndicated live-action superhero-adventure television series produced and distributed by Saban Entertainment, with production assistance by Toei Company and Cyberprod, Inc. The series originally aired on syndicated broadcasting from September 3, 1994 to February 21, 1996 running at 92 episodes. It was created in an attempt to capture the interest of virtual reality, as well as being the first official "sister series" to the successful, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. While that series featured Japanese stock footage from three of Toei's Super Sentai shows, this series mixes early CGI and video effects with Japanese stock footage from three entries of another Toei Tokusatsu property being the Metal Hero Series. The three being 超人機メタルダー, 時空戦士スピルバン and 宇宙刑事シャイダー.
