Vila Sésamo (also known as Sésamo) is the Brazilian co-production of Sesame Street. It originally aired on Rede Globo and TV Cultura from October 12, 1972 to 1974. In 1974, the program was nationalized by Globo and continued to air there until 1977 with the TV Cultura also airing the second season until 1975. It was then revived in 2007 and aired on TV Cultura from October 29, 2007 to 2016. It was then modified to be called Sésamo, and debuted on TV Cultura on December 19, 2016.

Trivia[]
- Due to Globo nationalizing the show in 1974, all dubbed Sesame Street segments, outside of the Bert and Ernie sketches, were dropped during the 3rd season of the original run.[5][6]
- The 2007 revival has two versions, a 50-minute version, like Sesame Street, and a 25-minute version, which was shown on TV Rá-Tim-Bum and in the last years of its broadcast on TV Cultura.
