Vivo is one of two European Spanish dubs of the film of the same name. It was the first dub in this dialect to be produced, yet has never saw release. According to director Miguel Antelo, Lin-Manuel Miranda vetoed the dub, despite it being fully produced, likely because of the Latin themes of the film.
This dub was produced in the studio Tecnison in Madrid. Antelo on Twitter stated that he "put all his heart and dedication into directing the dub", and that it would mean the world if Lin-Manuel would see what the team did.[1]
A redub of the film would suddenly release in 2022 on VOD services, dubbed in an unknown studio in Barcelona.

Notes[]
- The 2022 European Spanish redub would leave the songs undubbed from the English version, unlike this dub.
