Wayne's World is a 1992 American comedy film, produced by Lorne Michaels, written by Mike Myers and Bonnie & Terry Turner and directed by Penelope Spheeris. Based on a series of sketches by Myers, it stars Myers in his feature film debut as Wayne Campbell and Dana Carvey as Garth Algar, two rock and heavy metal fans who run a television show from their basement.

Paramount Pictures released Wayne's World in the United States on February 14, 1992. It was a critical and commercial success, being the tenth-highest-grossing film of 1992 and still the highest-grossing picture based on a Saturday Night Live sketch. In 1993 a sequel, Wayne's World 2, was released.
