Woozle & Pip is the English dub of Woezel & Pip. The dub has began its production in the United Kingdom in 2014, when CAKE Entertainment bought the international distribution rights for the series. It was released on the Showmax VOD service in South Africa on February 12, 2018.[2] It was removed from the service in 2019.

Woozle & Pip has made its television premiere on JimJam in the Middle East on June 18, 2018.[3][4] A month later, on July 16,[5] it began airing on Polsat JimJam in Poland via its SAP track, alongside a Polish dub. On January 1, 2022,[6] it premiered on JimJam in Central and Eastern Europe. It also aired alongside an Uzbek dub on Aqlvoy in Uzbekistan via its SAP track on April 4, 2022.[7] On March 23, 2023, the dub made its premiere on Sky Kids in the United Kingdom, the country it was produced in;[1] following that, it also became available on the Sky Go and Now TV streaming services. On each one of the channels, two episodes would air in one timeslot.

Prior to the dub's release, an early version of the episode "Once Upon a Time", with a different narrator and a voice actor for Woozle, became available on C21Media's website on March 2015.[8]

Notes[]

  • This dub serves as a base for most of the dubs that were produced for the series; the only exceptions are the Flemish Dutch, German, and the Chinese Mandarin dubs.
  • The series lacks any voice actor credits. So far, Melissa Sinden, Rebecca Courtney and Joe Mills are the only voice actors who are known to have voiced in the series.
  • Woozle was previously called "Woolly" in English, hence the series was first promoted as "Woolly & Pip" prior the release of the dub;[12][13] Taurus Music B.V. has registered the wordmark on August 28, 2014,[14] and it was accepted on December 5 of the same year. On May 24, 2016, the name was changed in order to avoid a conflict with the CBeebies series "Woolly and Tig",[15] despite the fact that the series has never aired on that channel.
    • A subtitled version of the episode "Star Gazing" refers Woozle as "Woolly", and uses a different localized logo with the previous title in the opening and the ending sequence of the series.[16] In addition, Woozle's name was kept as "Woolly" in the Polish dub of the series.

Footnotes[]

  1. The voice-over for this episode reads "When I'm All Grown Up".
