Yo-kai Watch is one of several English dubs of 妖怪ウォッチ (2014). It has previously aired on Astro Ceria, Cartoon Network (Pakistan), Cartoon Network (Philippines), Cartoon Network (Southeast Asia), Okto, Pogo, TA-DAA! and Toonami (Asia). It has previously been available on Netflix.
Broadcast history[]
Licensed in Asia by Hong Kong-based company Medialink, the dub first premiered on Toonami (Asia) on June 27, 2015, as part of its Anime Siege primetime block, which ran weekends starting at 9:30 a.m, and aired there until its shutdown on March 31, 2018. Unlike the Western dubs, it keeps almost all of the Japanese signage and edits while the dialogue retains all of the verbal tics, Japanese names, and Japanese opening/ending themes. The dub is produced entirely uncut over the Japanese visuals, with the networks it airs on such as Okto and Cartoon Network (Pakistan) making edits as they are needed to comply to local standards and laws. It is believed to have aired 117 episodes in two seasons, as the show's 214 episodes were licensed in Asia under four season packages consisting of 65, 52, 52, and 45 episodes, with the remaining episodes airing in subtitled form on Animax (Asia). The dub was also broadcast on NTV7 in late 2016. It was broadcast on Cartoon Network (Southeast Asia) from October 3, 2015[2] until some time in 2020, although premieres ended around August 2017. The show was rebroadcast by Astro Ceria in March 2021, by TA-DAA! in May 2022, and by Cartoon Network (Pakistan) in September 2022.

Notes[]
- Some broadcasts cut different parts of the show at the beginning or end, unrelated to censorship, such as:
- Whisper's warning being cut on most releases outside of Astro Ceria,
- Yo-kai Dictionary segments being cut on Okto and Toonami (Asia),
- previews for the next episode, as well as any minigame segments, being cut on Netflix, Toonami (Asia), and Okto,
- and the theme song (on occasion) and credits being removed on Toonami (Asia).
- All of the above, as well as the logo card, were removed on Cartoon Network (Pakistan).
- Cartoon Network (Southeast Asia) also changed the order of some sequences.
- Episode 77 and onward have seemingly been unaired outside of Toonami (Asia) and Cartoon Network (Southeast Asia) for unknown reasons.
- Starting with episode 77, Vinay Nariani plays Whisper. Despite the licensing packages, this may indicate a gap in production.
- Although the episode is not available, the scene of the swimming trunks falling down was cut in episode 79 of the dub when aired on Toonami (Asia) and/or Cartoon Network (Southeast Asia).
- While the majority of the series is presented with unmodified Japanese visuals, episode 91 (the first Song Medal episode) features subtitles for each song and even localizes the logos for each Yo-kai band. This likely also happened in episode 113.
